From the Founder, Dr. Chen-Wei Yang
"Bringing Taipei's standards back to Taichung."

Dr. Chen-Wei Yang

After years of advanced training both in Taiwan and abroad, and significant clinical experience in Taipei's prestigious East District, Dr. Chen-Wei Yang returned to his hometown of Taichung to establish Twin Oaks Dental Clinic — bringing with him a high standard of technique and a thoughtful, attentive bedside manner.

"More than just treating teeth, we aim to redefine the standard of 'safe medicine' and the patient experience itself." That is the founding principle of our clinic.

For our Japanese-speaking patients, we offer counseling, treatment plans, and estimates in Japanese. Whether you are a Japanese resident in Taichung or visiting on business or vacation, please feel free to consult us.

Our
Three Pillars

Specialist Team × Premium Equipment × Lifetime Care

  • Specialist Team
    Team
Implants, orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and anesthesiology. Specialists from each field collaborate on a single patient — true team-based dentistry.
  • German-Made Premium Equipment
    Equipment
ZEISS surgical microscope, Sirona CEREC, 3D CBCT, BenQ oral surgical light. World-class precision tools used at every step — diagnosis, treatment, and prosthesis.
  • No "Implant Orphans"
    Lifetime care
Long-term post-operative maintenance is fully managed in-house. We never let our patients become isolated due to a change of dentist — that is our commitment.

A diagnostic and treatment environment
built around German precision technology

"A difference in precision is a difference in outcome." Twin Oaks employs world-standard equipment at every stage — diagnosis, prosthesis, and surgery.

Notably, the German-made ZEISS and Sirona systems — held in the highest regard among Japanese practitioners — sit at the core of our clinic.

Four Cornerstones of Our Equipment

1ZEISS Surgical Microscope (Germany)

ZEISS Microscope

ZEISS's finest optical performance, made in Germany. Reveals micron-level gaps and irregularities invisible to the naked eye — taking the precision of root canal therapy, prosthetics, and surgical work to a new level.

This is the global-standard surgical microscope, deeply trusted across the Japanese dental community as well.

2Sirona High-Precision Ceramic Mill (Germany)

Sirona CEREC

CAD/CAM's gold standard, "Sirona CEREC", is fully equipped on-site. Intraoral scan → CAD design → milling — completed end-to-end inside our clinic.

The core machine that enables one-day veneers, full ceramic crowns, and inlays/onlays/overlays. No waiting for an external lab, no temporary crowns, no repeated visits.

33D Cone Beam CT (CBCT)

3D CBCT

Captures the thickness of the jawbone, the location of nerves, and blood vessels in three dimensions, with verifiable accuracy. Implant planning, complex extractions, and root canal therapy are guided by data — never guesswork.

An indispensable foundation for performing same-day implant placement safely.

4BenQ Surgical Operating Light (Taiwan)

BenQ Surgical Light

Ceiling-mounted, high-CRI LED lighting. Multi-angle, shadow-free illumination that preserves the true colors of teeth and gums.

Often overlooked, yet decisive for esthetic prosthetics and surgical procedures.

Excessive impact may cause fracture.

Traditionally, ceramic crowns and inlays require an impression at the clinic, after which a dental laboratory takes about two weeks to fabricate the piece.

At Twin Oaks, we use the German "Sirona CEREC" computer-controlled ceramic milling system, allowing the entire treatment to be completed in just one day.

CEREC

CEREC itself is now used at many clinics, but Twin Oaks operates the top-tier configuration in tandem with a ZEISS microscope.

This combination delivers the following benefits.

How Twin Oaks Operates CEREC

  • High Precision
    Precision
By combining CEREC with the ZEISS microscope, both fit and esthetics reach a high standard.
  • 3D Occlusal Adjustment
    Occlusion
Bite alignment is simulated and optimized in 3D before milling begins.
  • Visual Simulation
    Simulation
Before treatment begins, you can see the projected result on screen.

Three Strengths of CEREC
(One-Day Ceramic)

Strength 1White teeth on the same day (~2 hours)

Same-day

Conventional ceramic restorations require around two weeks before they can be placed. With CEREC, the same restoration can be ready in as little as one day (~2 hours). Visit in the morning, walk out with new teeth in the afternoon.

Strength 2Whiteness lasts virtually permanently

No discoloration

Thanks to the properties of ceramic material, the desired shade lasts virtually permanently — without the gradual yellowing seen with composite resin fillings.

Strength 3No uncomfortable impressions required

Optical scan

No traditional impression material is needed. Instead, we simply scan your mouth optically. Patients with a strong gag reflex particularly appreciate this.

One-Day Ceramic — Treatment Flow

01

Intraoral Scanning

Instead of a traditional impression, we capture your mouth with an intraoral scanner. The 3D data is fed into the computer for restoration design.

Scan

02

Design Confirmation

From the scan, the restoration's shape and seated appearance are previewed on screen. Opposing teeth data is also incorporated to fine-tune the bite.

Design

03

Milling from a Ceramic Block

Our in-house milling unit carves the restoration from a ceramic or zirconia block. A wide range of shades is available to harmonize with surrounding teeth.

Milling

04

Placement

After final adjustment, the restoration is bonded in place. From scan to placement, the process takes about two hours.

One-Day Ceramic — Q&A

What is one-day ceramic?
It is a treatment that fabricates and seats your restoration (crown or inlay) on the same visit. While conventional restorations take 1–2 weeks, our in-house CEREC system compresses that into a single day.
Why can it be done in one day?
Because the entire pipeline — intraoral scanning, computer design, and in-house milling — is completed within our clinic. No external lab, no shipping, no waiting.
What materials are used?
We use ceramic and zirconia. Zirconia has hardness second only to diamond and is reliable even on molars.
Do I need to treat cavities first?
Yes — if there are cavities, they should be treated before the restoration is fabricated. In some cases, this can be handled within the same-day workflow.
How does it compare to handcrafted master ceramic?
One-day ceramic is "semi-custom"; handcrafted master ceramic is "fully bespoke." For front teeth and other highly visible areas where esthetics are critical, we recommend the master ceramic option.
How long does it take?
From scan to placement, around 2 hours. You may step out of the clinic during the milling stage — we can recommend cafes nearby in Beitun.
Can I be consulted in Japanese?
Yes. We provide counseling, treatment plans, and estimates in Japanese. Pre-visit consultation via LINE is also welcome.

Pricing & Booking

Column"Affordable" & "Same-day" white teeth
Direct Bonding

Recommended for the following situations.

  • I want my silver fillings to look white
  • My tooth chipped
  • I am bothered by gaps between my front teeth

Direct Bonding

For these conditions and where affordability is a priority, we recommend "Direct Bonding."

A white composite resin material allows us to address the issue on the same day.

Tooth reduction is kept to a minimum, limiting damage to the natural tooth.

"Same-Day Implant"
— Extract and place on the same day

Conventional implant treatment takes 10 months or more from extraction to completion.
At Twin Oaks, our same-day protocol compresses diagnosis, extraction, placement, and provisional crown into a single day. With suitable conditions, you walk out with teeth in place.

Same-Day Implant Flow

01

3D CBCT Diagnosis

Bone volume, nerves, and the maxillary sinus are evaluated in 3D. The safety zone is visualized, and same-day placement feasibility is determined.

02

Extraction & Same-Day Placement

In the same session, the residual root is extracted and the implant placed immediately — minimizing damage to bone and gums.

03

Provisional Crown

When conditions allow, a provisional crown is placed the same day — eliminating the "no-tooth" period and minimizing impact on appearance, speech, and eating.

04

Long-Term Maintenance

The same dentist follows up with regular check-ups and bite management — the heart of our "no implant orphans" philosophy.

Total Duration No-Tooth Period Visits Required
Conventional Implant 10+ months Yes Multiple
Twin Oaks "Same-Day Implant" 1 Day None (in principle) Greatly reduced

We have successful cases for patients in their 80s and those with diabetes (combined with conscious sedation). If you have been told that "your age makes implants difficult elsewhere," we welcome you to consult us first.

For uncompromising aesthetics —
"Master Ceramic Treatment"

Ceramic

In addition to "1Day Zirconia / Full Ceramic Crown," Twin Oaks offers a "Master Ceramic Treatment" carefully crafted by hand by skilled dental ceramists.

Aesthetics Cost Method Duration
1Day Zirconia / Full Crown Good More affordable CEREC (CAD/CAM) As fast as 1 day
Master Ceramic Best Higher than 1Day Handcrafted by ceramist 2–3 visits

If turnaround time is your priority, we recommend 1Day Zirconia.
If your absolute ideal smile is the priority, we recommend Master Ceramic.

Crafting teeth that look beautiful to anyone

There is a "formula" for crafting beautiful teeth — beauty can in fact be measured. Twin Oaks's master ceramic treatment is designed using these key indicators.

Golden Proportion

Proportion

The proportions of the central incisor, lateral incisor, and canine are aligned to produce the most aesthetically pleasing front-tooth balance.

Median Line & Tooth Alignment

Median line

When the body's central line aligns with the midline of the upper and lower front teeth, the smile reads as harmonious and refined.

Biological Width & Gum Line

Gum line

The aesthetics of a smile depend not only on teeth but on the gum line as well. We design restorations with both gingival contour and biological width in mind.

Precision work using the ZEISS microscope

ZEISS

Our master ceramic treatment uses the ZEISS surgical microscope to make micron-level adjustments at high magnification.

Any gap between the tooth and restoration becomes a corridor for caries-causing bacteria. Microscope-driven precision adjustment prevents post-treatment cavities.

RF Lift × Whitening Veneers —
"Combination Program"

Combination program

A great mouth is more than white teeth. Twin Oaks offers a premium combination program comparable to a top medical aesthetics clinic: RF Lift V20 × ceramic veneers / whitening.

"Teeth + facial rejuvenation" handled at a single location — no need to travel between separate clinics.

Particularly popular among our high-end clientele.

Conscious Sedation Available

Sedation

For patients with severe dental anxiety, long procedures (like implants), children, or elderly patients who find long sessions difficult. Under specialist supervision, treatment can proceed while you remain in a relaxed, drowsy state.

We also have successful cases with patients in their 80s and those with diabetes.

More like a refined hotel lounge
than a dental clinic

Warm earth tones, rounded sofas, soft indirect lighting. We turn the anxiety of a dental visit into a moment of poise and ease — that is Twin Oaks's "calming spatial design".
